Portfolio of Xexilia O. Shadows exists to show her work as a designer, artist, author, and web developer. A portfolio can end up being massively expansive, this will take some time to fully fill out as needed. To avoid being judged by very old works, or client work that was done to the specifications of the client and is not appropriate for this portfolio, not every single thing Xexilia has worked on is included. Please be patient or directly inquire to see work not included by Xexilia in her portfolio as she has deemed it as a poor representation of her work or skill set within art, design, writing, and even web development.

The Ghost in the Halls
From the ‘Eternity Concepts‘ collection
2021
Digital Hand Drawn Illustration
Wacom Tablet
Clip Studio Paint
Artist Comments: This is one of my pieces that is most loved and coveted of the Eternity Concepts collection and all without intent. The reality was I needed to make a piece and, under a short dead line, nothing was coming to mind. I had time, but I knew the printing was going to go all wrong, so I had to make these pieces now.
Which is why I keep all my sketches, and almost instantly, this sketch popped out. Originally I had planned to do it in color but as Clip Studio Paint had no way for me to be positive I was working in the right way to print, I refused to take the risk. Photoshop had be having a huge issue with color for two years and also had to be skipped, because I could not afford more issues.
Ultimately, this piece was my attempt at a ghostly figure like Dickens had people waking to see. I realize I could have made him entirely transparent but for me, his dead side references the way my condition, CRPS, has been making me feel like I’m already dead–It’s just no one can see it yet.
Who am I Offending Now

Artist Comments: This piece has a long, huge story behind it, which is that I had another piece–which I am not showing here, are you crazy?!–Which my teacher begged me to create something, anything, to enter into an art contest that, frankly, I didn’t want to be part of. The night before the deadline, inspiration hit and I made a piece much like this. It was removed because the school decided it depicted a same sex couple and the head of the art department “didn’t want to encourage that kind of life style.”
Which, of course, meant war. Not just from me–from loads of students. As more and more of us were punished when we pushed the limits, the more of us began to push them into having to give up. The stories I could tell are hilarious and the fact we eventually won and became the school known as “heaven” for LGBTAQI+ students since.
So, of course, I did an updated version to show my growth and to maybe–just maybe a little bit–silently send a message to my old teachers.

All You Did was Save My Life

Artist Comments: I made this based on a song that I had felt inspired by when I met the wrong person. I spent a decade with them and actually intended this piece to be a gift.
It’s really hard to give art as a gift; To most people, it seems like it’s a cheap, effortless gift. To us, it’s days or weeks of effort. . .inspired by how we feel about you.
That person didn’t want it. They gave excuses about wanting to give someone else a chance to buy it–but I insisted. Finally they told me that they didn’t want it because “What am I supposed to do with it–Hang it on my wall?”
That’s when I died inside completely and gave up. With the CRPS and treatment resistant depression, giving up was easy.
Then, that person left. Then, they decided that they shouldn’t have left. I had met someone else, and in an effort to show affection, that person purchased the piece and left roses.
I was angry because I had, literally, decided not to sell the piece after all–Because it belonged to someone new.
Portfolio of Older Work, Writing, Web Development:
My older art is very scattered at the moment and I have very few pieces to show post-2013 until the above works (Not shown in entirety) in 2021. While I will eventually add these along with other samples for my portfolio for design, web design, and writing, many samples I had for some of these are either client work with end results I, frankly, do not want to show or claim I ‘designed’, and others I have to dig up.
