Xexilia O. Shadows Biography

Only Xexilia herself remains in focus. Her hair is a combination of a blue-based purple, blue, and teal, and so long it reaches half-way down her spine. Xexilia's hair is parted on the left. While excellent at photography, Xexilia hates taking 'selfies', making this an extremely unusual photo of Xexilia due to her shyness, to send to her then beginning romance with her polycule partner who remarked on wanting to see Xexilia smile again, so Xexilia sent this as her first attempt, taken while sipping a drink, lacking a smile, as Xexilia was too afraid and shy to call more attention to herself by making it obvious she was taking a selfie. She tried again and despite the obvious embarrassment, her partner appreciated the effort in the end; Her partner was pleased enough, it would later turn out, to purpose. Xexilia accepted.

The purpose of this image is art collectors, art lovers, curators, people hiring an artist, etc., supposedly want and expect to see a photo of the artist on their Biography page. They also expect, people claim, a lot of other things to be much less informative or to include as many images as one would expect.

Xexilia Ozma Shdows began creating art as soon as she was able to hold anything that make a mark on a surface. Her work was shown a year later in a museum in 1991. Born with autoimmune and neurological diseases, she remained isolated and viewed the characters in her drawings as her friends.

Beginning to release her magnum opus, Eternity Concepts, as a webcomic in 1999, Xexilia continued to improve her art and writing. In 2019, she became a gallery resident, meaning she has a studio at a gallery local to her.

The solo exhibition Eternity Concepts was given to her despite not requesting one nor meeting the juried showcase exhibition requirements. Her installation of illustrations featured an entirely new collection, Masquerade. Xexilia has continued to show her works around the world, enter and be shown in juried exhibitions, show with various, specific galleries, and create. Her series, Eternity Concepts, is on-going, and has both printed and e-Book copies available.
